Kathmandu, Newly appointed Chairman of Nabil Bank Limited, Nirvan Kumar Chaudhary, has formally taken the oath of office and secrecy. The oath was administered by Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank, Prof. Dr. Bishwanath Paudel, during a special ceremony held on Wednesday.
The decision to appoint Chaudhary as Chairman was made unanimously at the 699th meeting of Nabil Bank’s Board of Directors held on January 12 (Poush 28).
Chaudhary is the Managing Director of the Chaudhary Group, one of Nepal’s leading business conglomerates. He currently serves as a board member in several companies under the group. Actively involved in social service, he is the Vice President of the Chaudhary Foundation and also holds the position of Senior Vice President at the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI).
The oath-taking ceremony was attended by senior officials from Nepal Rastra Bank, including Deputy Governors Dr. Neelam Dhungana Timsina and Bam Bahadur Mishra, Executive Directors Ramu Paudel, Guru Prasad Paudel, Dayaram Sharma and Dhirgha Bahadur Rawal, Director Nira Talchabhadel, and Board Secretary and Director Sharan Kumar Adhikari.
Representing Nabil Bank were Board Members Malay Mukherjee, Ananta Paudyal, Pravin Tiwdewalla, Sarita Bhatt Adhikari and Anil Keshari Shah, along with Chief Executive Officer Manoj Kumar Gyawali, Deputy CEO Bhupendra Pandey, and Company Secretary Bhishma Neupane, among others.
