Kathmandu, Chief Secretary of the Nepali Congress (NC) at its central office, Krishna Prasad Paudel, has resigned from his post. Paudel, who is also a member of the National Assembly, tendered his resignation on Thursday, according to the party office.
Paudel stepped down following the election of a new central working committee of the Nepali Congress through the party’s Special General Convention (SGC). The new committee was elected unopposed under the leadership of Gagan Thapa a week ago.
The newly formed central working committee is scheduled to hold its first meeting on Friday at the party’s central office in Sanepa.
