Kathmandu, Nepal Lube Oil Limited has held its 35th Annual General Meeting (AGM), marking Karan Chaudhary’s first AGM as the company’s Chairman and CEO.

Chaudhary highlighted a major milestone for NLOL: the company crossed 4,000 kiloliters in annual production for the first time while retaining its position as Nepal’s leading lubricants brand.

The company has also expanded transformer-oil production to a level capable of meeting most of Nepal’s domestic demand, keeping more value within the country instead of relying on imports.

For Nepal’s manufacturing sector, the bigger takeaway is clear: import substitution is moving beyond policy slogans when domestic industry can build at scale and compete on quality.

Chaudhary said the achievement reflects the company’s network across all seven provinces and, particularly, its team at Amlekhgunj.

The message from NLOL’s latest milestone is bigger than one company’s growth: industrial success is also about creating standards that strengthen the wider domestic manufacturing ecosystem.
