Nawalpur, An adult male rhino was found dead at Lokaha Syauli in Kawasoti Municipality-1 of Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta Purba) district on Thursday.
According to Chief of the Division Forest Office, Nawalpur, Bishnu Prasad Adhikari, the rhino was discovered in a maize field belonging to local resident Bhim Bahadur Darjee. The horn and hooves of the rhino have been kept safely under the office’s supervision.
Authorities said there were no visible injuries on the rhino’s body, making the exact cause of death unclear at the moment. Further investigation into the incident is currently underway, Adhikari added.
